Us Now is a film project about the power of mass collaboration, government and the internet. As you’ll see from these thought-provoking extracts, the Internet is not just about selling but more about the long-term development of relationship-building models, patterns and behaviours.

Be inspired. Certain themes discussed in this series may motivate viewers to create entirely new business models, products, services and, more importantly, establish large collaborative social communities through trust which is, as we all know, the cornerstone of attracting new business.

Us Now takes a look at how this type of participation could transform the way that countries are governed. It tells the stories of the online networks whose radical self-organising structures threaten to change the fabric of government forever.

The founding principles of these projects — transparency, self-selection, open participation — are coming closer and closer to the mainstream of our social and political lives. Us Now describes this transition and confronts politicians George Osborne and Ed Milliband with the possibilities for participative government as described by Don Tapscott and Clay Shirky amongst others.

I really liked this series and in video 4 Janine Driver gives you specific tips on how to read body language to know if a sale is going the way you want. Did you know 93% of what we communicate is done through body language? I didn’t and her tips were spot on - I’ve already started using them when building relationships with business partners and customers.

Finally, this segment of the show is Q&A. The best question I believe is how to sell without selling, everyone gives great feedback in this section.

Hope you enjoyed the series!

This is part two in the series from Donny Deutch. What I liked about this episode is that Dave Lakhani gives you 4 keypoints for using storytelling to your advantage in business.

Part 3 comes tomorrow! It’s got a great segment on body language, plus viewers call in with questions and the entire panel gives feedback!

Enjoy!
